Hi!
I didn’t mean for this AMTK issue to be so product-focused. Around March, I decided to stop buying make-up and cosmetics and skincare products until the ones I already owned and used ran out. Such a conscious consumer, I know.
It’s been a success overall (I did get two eyeshadow brushes on sale since then but that was it) and it might be because what I bought was finally what I actually needed.
Also, I’ve decided to make Always More to Know available to free subscribers as well. Hope you enjoy it!
👁️ Fenty Beauty Concealer
The Fenty We’re Even Hydrating Longwear Concealer in shade 175W has been a game changer for me. It’s the first concealer I buy that is actually in the right skin tone—it’s not easy being practically translucent—so for the first time in my make-up-wearing life, I can put on some concealer under my eyes and not need foundation to even out the tones.
I use the Real Techniques 300 brush (apparently only available if you get the full kit) to apply it and then the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder with a small powder puff to help set it.
💆🏼♀️ Braé Essential Spray
I found out hair care was a thing last year. I wasn’t even aware that it was possible to fix hair “imperfections” at home as opposed to spending money at professional hair salons. Luckily, I don’t have many hair issues, apart from the out of control baby hairs and some frizz. Perhaps I never went after hair solutions because I didn’t have the problems to begin with.
When I let my hair grow long, it created separate strands of hair down my back that no matter how I brushed it or air dried it or blow dried it, it just didn’t look good. The ends of my hair were dry and sad.
I came across this Braé Essential Hair Repair Spray and I never worried about my hair again. It smells so nice, you can use it on dry or damp hair, and I now have a healthy head of hair from the roots all the way down to the ends.
👸🏼 Sydney Sweeney
As the kids say these days, Sydney Sweeney has been mother for me since Euphoria Season 1. And while I didn’t even like the show that much, something about Cassie resonated with me (no judgments, please) and Sydney became my ultimate influencer.
I think she’s a phenomenal actress, of course, with great roles in Reality and The White Lotus.
Here are things I have bought purely because it had her face on it (and turns out they were great products that I actually needed):
Here are things I would like to buy because I’ve seen her wear it but don’t because $$$$:
I don’t care much for the juice brand (is it juice?) she makes ads for or for the Samsung flip phone. Let’s just say she influences some of my choices but doesn’t change who I am, ya know?
☺️ Rare Beauty Blush
This Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Hope was at the checkout counter at Sephora on my last work trip to LA in March and the only reason I bought it was because it was small. Like I said, I’m extremely pale and I had not yet ventured in the liquid blush world. I could end up looking like one of those Instagram filters if I wasn’t careful.
Just one tiny, small, little dot on each cheek is plenty—I’m glad I bought the mini version.

Do you exercise regularly? Do you like it? How does that work? My piece on Sunday will be on how I can’t bring myself to enjoy a sweat sesh, and I’ve tried it all.
