Hi!
Welcome to Always More with GaLeal, a newsletter where I’ll share all the things I have to say. My audience is currently composed of my Instagram Close Friends, but I’ve decided it was time to expand.
A lot goes on in my mind daily. During the night too—I remember my dreams almost every day. Over meals, no matter the company, I tell stories, express frustrations, recount funny moments and always have an opinion to offer when in the listener’s seat.
I have so many ideas, so much to say. Mostly, so much to read and learn. Do I start a podcast? Do I become an ~influencer? Of what? I have a daily skincare routine. Do I share it? For what? With whom? Who would care about my critiques of leadership at companies, or restaurant reviews, or travel mishaps? You might. Hopefully.
I’ve considered starting a travel and food magazine, I’ve considered hosting a podcast on work life, I mess around on TikTok in my spare time talking about organization and communication.
There’s probably a reason why my friends ask me to start an Instagram page about my travels and gastronomic adventures every time I’m on a new trip. I feel lazy just thinking about how much time and effort that would take. I really admire those who dedicate the energy and consistency that a successful niched profile requires.
For me, writing comes more naturally. I’ve finally found a platform where I can talk, talk, talk write freely about subjects that interest me. Eternalize my thoughts, stories, interior monologues for those who want to read them. And better yet, have access to articles, essays, and interviews from people that I wouldn’t know if it weren’t for Substack. Is it too optimistic of me to expect to make virtual friendships here?
I’m hesitant to set fixed themes for this newsletter because I’ll write about a little bit of everything. But I can already say it’ll be a little corner of the internet where you can learn more about international travel, encounters with different cultures, trying eccentric food (like the escamole, Mexican ant larvae), how communicating at work can be tough (or easy!), tips on how not to stress about everyday life, and other musings I’ll have along the way that I’ll feel like writing about.
If I was considering picking up journaling, I’ve found a better solution to tell you more about what goes on in this little head of mine.
Um beijo,
GaLeal
